2 AGAINST 5
Nothing beats the morning when the sun shines bright,
Dry eyes open drink the pale blue light
Cracks in the shutters let the colours bleed in
Open up the window let the world right in
Take it easy
Take it in
Clock keeps ticking but it don't mean a thing
Clapping its hands to the time it brings
Got nowhere to be, I got nowhere to go
I'm taking it easy, I'm taking it slow
Take it easy
Take it in
2 Against 5 may not seem a fair fight,
but how strong are your 2?
If you feel like the odds have got you beat
You've got to make them work for you
Hustle and a bustle and toyle and trouble
Working real hard but the boss wants double
Working days come but working days go
But this ain't working I'm taking it slow
Take it easy
Take it in
2 Against 5 may not seem a fair fight,
but how strong are your 2?
If you feel like the odds have got you beat
You've got to make them work for you
This is a beautiful song by Michael Marra about a character from the book Sunset Song called Ewan Tavindale. He is taken from his home and forced to fight in the first world war at the age of 25. During his time in the trenches he loses his mind and sees a vision of his fiance which he is drawn towards. The apparition appears in the opposite direction of the battle so poor Ewan is sentenced to death by firing squad and buried in a cowards grave. There were 306 British soldiers condemned to death by their own side for being "cowards". Lest We Forget.
The sun is shining, the parade is preparing and Full Tonne Kidd will be at the Partick Brewing Company 8pm right after the fantastic Daddy Naggins bluegrass band who are live at 5.
Get yourself out for the day, it's set to be a beauty.
Partick Brewing Company is a fantastic new West End pub which is as welcoming as it is roomy.
With live music every Friday & Saturday night, the Partick Brewing Company is an excellent choice for a night out in Glasgow's West End to see great live bands. The Daddy Naggins, a bluegrass band from Glasgow often play the venue as well as Bobby Deans Orchestra on a Saturday afternoon.
This venue really has a lovely mix of clientele of all ages and in our opinion, is a potential hot spot for Music in Glasgow's West End,
